The 2006 Project of
the Year was a single-family residence for Tom and Heather Golisano in
Mendon. This two-year construction project consisted of a week of
basement digging and months of site preparation and grading. The
conclusion of the project included a 18,000 square-foot driveway and
parking area.

 |
Phase one of the project included
more than a week of excavator and bulldozer work for the basement dig.
During the construction of the basement, our tree crew removed dead and
dying trees, brush and debris through the 20+ acres of woods.

|
Following several weeks of work
removing debris, we began removing stumps, grading, rockhounding and
hydroseeding with a low-gro grass. Despite the dry summer, we had
success with grass establishment.

Our hardscape construction crew
took over next with the installation of a 18,000 square-foot driveway
running from a covered bridge and continuing up to the residence and
throughout the motor court. The driveway included unique curbing and
radiant heating.

Upon entering the property, the
driveway crosses picturesque Irondequoit Creek. After crossing the
creek, their home and new one-acre pond become visible. During the
pond construction, we trucked the excavated fill throughout the property
to establish the proper grades.

The house is currently in the
final stages of construction, with landscaping to follow in 2007. We
would like to thank Tom & Heather Golisano and Dominick Caroselli of
Cambridge Park Development, Inc. for retaining us.
